CERTH at the 2nd International Symposium on Small-scale Intelligent Manufacturing Systems
Thessaloniki-based Factory2Fit partner CERTH attended the 2nd International Symposium on Small-scale Intelligent Manufacturing Systems (SIMS) in Cavan, Ireland earlier this week.
16–18 April 2018 | CERTH presented the simulation functionality of the Factory2Fit web-based task distribution engine. They demonstrated the task assignment to resources when using different priority settings, varying depending on the importance of the parameters considered. This feature allows to determine the importance of parameters considered when assigning tasks, especially in the case of online scheduling when a new task has to be added to the work schedule during the day.
SIMS is an interesting event that constitutes a leading forum for experts in the field to disseminate information on their most recent research results and practices.
The symposium took place in FARNHAM ESTATE Spa & Golf Resort, Cavan, Ireland 16–18 April 2018.
