TUC at VPP 2018 Conference

The Technical University of Chemnitz (TUC) hosted a major conference on Digital Networking and Smart Production on the 29th November 2018 and published their latest paper on Factory2Fit solutions.

One of the themes of this year’s conference “Networked Planning and Production – VPP 2018” was how digital networking can lead to smart production. Theme specific workshops were also discussed. Other topics that came up during the event included Human Computer Interaction, Implementation and Change Processes, Change Management, qualification profiles and qualification methods in the age of Industry 4.0.

This year’s VPP conference was held in the TUC Department of Factory Planning and Factory Management in Chemnitz, Germany. The event included over 100 scientific and technical experts representing a wide range of industries!

In addition to over 30 presentations from guests, TUC released a new paper on Factory2Fit solutions. Focusing on the selection of participatory design methods, this paper explores the process for methodology refinement and selection. The full paper is available here.
